This Privacy Policy explains how Chat to PDF (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our Android application.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

Chat to PDF converts exported chat files (such as .txt or .zip chat exports) into PDF or HTML documents.

Important: Your chat messages and media are processed on your device. We do not upload your conversations to our servers. We do not require an account to use the App.

2. Information We Process

A. Chat files you import (processed only on your device)

When you import or share a chat file with the App, the App may temporarily process:

• Chat text and timestamps
• Participant names shown in the export
• Media files included in a ZIP export (such as photos, videos, audio, or documents)
• Export settings you choose (date range, style, theme, format, include media, and similar options)

This content is used only to display a preview, generate a PDF or HTML file, and save exported files you choose to keep on your device.

We do not send your chat content to LiveBird Technologies servers.

B. App settings and local files stored on your device

The App may store locally on your device:

• Appearance preferences (light / dark / system)
• Recent export list and related file metadata
• Last selected chat theme
• Temporary files needed for import, preview, and export

These stay on your device unless you delete them or uninstall the App.

C. Advertising data (Google AdMob)

The App shows rewarded video ads (for example, before exporting a PDF) using Google AdMob.

Google may collect and process information according to Google’s own policies, which may include:

• Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
• IP address
• Device and app information
• Ad interaction data

We do not control Google’s ad systems. Please review:

You can manage ad personalization in your device settings (for example, reset or limit Advertising ID on Android).

D. Analytics

The App currently does not send analytics events to any external analytics service.

Any in-app event tracking is limited to local/debug behavior and does not include chat message content, sender names, or file contents.

3. How We Use Information

We use information only to:

• Provide core App features (import, preview, export, recents, settings)
• Show rewarded ads through Google AdMob
• Improve App reliability and user experience
• Respond to support requests you send us by email

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your chat content.

We may share information only in these cases:

1. Advertising partners: Google AdMob, as described above
2. Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
3. Support communication: if you email us, we use the details you provide to reply

We do not operate a backend server that receives your chat exports.

5. Data Retention

• Temporary import/session files are cleaned up by the App when no longer needed
• Exported files and recent-export records remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App
• Emails you send to support are retained only as needed to respond and improve support

Because chat processing happens on-device, uninstalling the App generally removes App-stored local data (except files you separately saved outside the App, such as to Downloads).

6. Security

We design the App so chat conversion happens locally on your device.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce unnecessary data exposure by:

• Avoiding chat-content uploads to our servers
• Limiting network use for core chat conversion
• Using temporary local storage for processing

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support email, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Your Choices and Controls

You can:

• Choose whether to import chat files
• Choose whether to include media in exports
• Delete exported files from Recents
• Limit ad tracking in Android settings
• Uninstall the App at any time
• Contact us to ask privacy-related questions

9. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with third-party services, including:

• Google AdMob (ads)
• Google Play (distribution / updates)
• Messaging apps or file managers you use to export/share chat files

Those services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

10. International Users

The App is designed for on-device processing. Advertising partners such as Google may process data in other countries according to their policies and applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.

Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
