Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chat to PDF Android application (“the App”) provided by LiveBird Technologies (“we,” “us,” or “our”), package name com.livebird.chattopdf.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is incorporated into these Terms.
1. The App
Chat to PDF is a utility that converts exported chat files (such as .txt or .zip exports) into PDF or HTML documents. Core conversion, preview, and file saving happen on your device. We do not require an account to use the App, and we do not operate a backend that receives your chat exports.
Features may include import, preview, export settings (date range, style, theme, format, include media), recents, and appearance preferences. Features may change as we update the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the App. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal or internal use, as permitted by the Google Play terms that apply to your download.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App, except to the extent the law prohibits these restrictions. You may not rent, sublicense, or use the App to provide a competing hosted conversion service.
4. Your content and files
You retain whatever rights you already have in the chat exports, media, and other files you import. You are responsible for those files and for having the right to import, convert, store, and share them.
The App processes files locally to provide preview and export. We do not claim ownership of your conversations. You decide whether to keep exported files on your device or share them using other apps.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App in a way that violates law, these Terms, or another person’s rights
- Import or export content you are not allowed to possess or share
- Attempt to interfere with ads, licensing, or App integrity
- Misrepresent the App as a WhatsApp, Meta, or other third-party product
- Use the App to harm, harass, or exploit others
6. Advertising
The App is supported by rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob (for example, before a PDF export). Ads are provided by Google and may use device identifiers and related data as described in our Privacy Policy and Google’s policies. We do not guarantee that ads will be available, skippable, or error-free.
7. Third-party services
The App may interact with Google Play, Google AdMob, messaging apps, and file managers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party products, export tools, or websites.
WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. Chat to PDF is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its name, design, and software, is owned by LiveBird Technologies or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you except the limited license above.
9. Updates and availability
We may update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Updates may be delivered through Google Play. The App depends on your device, storage, and the format of chat exports you provide; we do not guarantee that every export format or media type will convert perfectly.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that exports will be complete, accurate, printable in every environment, or free of errors or data loss.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveBird Technologies and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim (which may be zero if the App is free).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify LiveBird Technologies against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your files, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (including license restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive termination.
Uninstalling generally removes App-stored local data. Files you saved outside the App, such as in Downloads, remain until you delete them.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise. Courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory protections.
